East Valley CCS PTSA exists to encourage, develop and equip each student to realize their full potential as healthy, educated citizens of their communities. To facilitate this mission, we will provide funds, support and programs that help meet the following goals:
o Character development
o Extracurricular experiences that promote overall growth in education
o Community service
o Teacher support
Continuous Curriculum School means that our calendar is organized into learning periods and vacation weeks that are more evenly balanced across 12 months than the traditional school calendar. CCS students attend school the same number of calendar days that students with a traditional calendar year attend.
Increases student retention and achievement
High WASL Scores
Reduces Teacher burnout
Less time spent re-teaching & re-learning for teachers and students
In the earlier grades 1-4, the teachers remain with the same teacher for 2 years. The students' first grade teacher will also be second grade teacher. The students' third grade teacher will also be their fourth grade teacher. We are also fortunate to have our 5th - 8th grade students cycle through classes with teachers that specialize in different academic areas. We have a math specialist, language arts specialist and science specialist that will be working to give these students a high standard of instruction.
